The members finish the train ride, and play some games at the base camp in Yangsan.
Planning and Direction: 4
This week’s episode was a bit of a mess, unfortunately. It started out pretty well, but began to unravel a bit as it progressed. Both of the “left behind” segments were heavily cut, as was the main group’s segment. The PDs wisely made the lack of good footage a joke in itself, however once they arrived at the base camp the games that were aired in full were not that good either. A lot of nonsensical chaotic wrestling in the mud, and I mean a LOT – it was probably around 30 minutes long and was difficult to finish without skipping ahead. Finally, they ended with the ultimate in variety show filler, a cooking contest segment – but didn’t bother airing the conclusion. Not good. If the opening 30 minutes hadn’t been pretty good, this score would have probably been even lower.
Graphics were pretty mundane, and the music was solid but a bit below usual KBS standards.

Cha Tae Hyun: 4
Typical good reactions from Tae Hyun, but he was mostly on the perimeter of the action for most of the shoot.
Kim Jong Min: 5
Although the results were a bit hit and miss, Jong Min probably worked the hardest this week. His “left behind” wasn’t great, but he did seem to try at least, and he stayed involved in the base camp shoot as well.
Kim Joo Hyuk: 5
Joo Hyuk was decent this week, as his “walking around Daegu” segment was good, and he remained one of the most active members at the base camp shoot too.
Kim Jun Ho: 4
A bit of a lazy performance from Jun Ho in this episode, he literally slept through most of his “left behind” segment, and his gags seemed a bit halfhearted during the main shoot, as if he wasn’t really putting in a 100% effort.
Defconn was similar to Tae Hyun, he was OK but mostly found himself on the sidelines this week.
Jung Joon Young: 5
Joon Young was OK this week, he didn’t have any really wow moments but stayed engaged and was one of the focal members during the final mudfield and cooking segments.
Lotte Giants Cheerleader
His segment was cut down significantly, but he seemed fine in what was shown.
Episode MVP: Kim Jong Min
Not much to choose from this week, as the members mostly just goofed off and nobody really stood out as being particularly good. Jong Min probably tried the hardest though, so I guess that’s something.
Final Score: 4
A bit of a letdown episode following last week’s solid train ride episode, the “left behind” segments both failed, and the mud field segment was forced to go too long due to lack of footage. Add in a boring cooking segment without an ending, and you have a fairly weak episode this week.
